Clock replacement Data display , Beta Testing

Just wanted to pass this on, I've been doing some beta testing for a
display that will replace the OEM clock. It will give boost, volts, vac,
oil temp, AT fluid temp and some other stuff like control an IC spray
pump. Currently it's just for the Forester but he has plans to make a
bracket for the Impreza possibly others. Other than doing some beta
testing and getting the parts for cost, I don't have any vested interest in
this but thought it was pretty nice and wanted to pass this on for some
that may be interested. Have a look at this link here for more info:

There is also a good thread in the Forester section of NASIOC but they are
down for upgrades or something right now.

Anyway just sharing, I'm doing the install today and will eventually have a page up on our site.

it looks so clean! i've been looking at alternatives for the standard column/dash gauges...this is definitely a possibility! keep us updated on your progress!

Peaty-- Does this read from the ECU, or will it require a bunch of add-on sensors? I'd seriously think about getting one for our FXT if it's an easy install.

Now, for my STi, I got the gauge pack and they took out the clock. So I don't know where I'd put the thing. HPH

It does not read from the ECU, it has a 3 bar MAP sensor for boost and the temp probe for the oil is in the drain plug that is replaced. I'll have a page up in a few days but most of the info in in that link I posted. Pretty easy to install though.

so when are you going to have a full install pics for us? love to see it being installed. its hard to see all the hardware.

looks awsome! it would theoretically work for all subarus right? (assuming the probes fit appropriately.)

In a day or so, normally it takes me a lot longer to edit pics and do the write up than it does to do the actual mod :)

Yes, everything is supplied. I had to send him my clock so he could get the harness plug from it. The other option he was talking about was to just tap into the clocks power. That's where the volts and power for the unit comes from. He also has this here which is a IC spray kit that works with the system:

Some other info here with tentative pricing here:

Put the page up there, I still have to put a little more info but you can get the idea.

This is what i've been looking for to replace my clock without being obviously modified.

Any idea on when this will be available??

How difficult is this to install?

How is the IC spray triggered?

What is the max boost displayed? The graph says 5 bars at 2.5psi each, but later is says upto 30psi.

Is there/will there be an option to get the unit with the IC spray function but w/o the reservoir?

Thanks for working this out, I didn't want to install multiple large guages, just one that would fit in the old clock spot or in the space beside the pull out cup holder.

Please click my last link and you will have your answers. As for the reservoir question you don't have to get that from him I didn't. When is soon I guess, we are still beta testing. Right now he only has brackets for the Forester though.

Isn't there a similar product to this which is an OBD reader, and thus doesn't need to actually run wiring for sensors?

EDIT: Here it is, about $480 US. Just plugs straight into the ODB, no wiring, and it fits in the stock gauge pod.

Possibly, this is stand alone and controls an IC spray too.

Updated the page with some more pics including this one:
