go to kragen autzone ect and get at plastic brush the size of your fist and buy simple green automotive
park your car in the drive way and hose it down spray simple green on the car brush it hose it down, simple green it, rinse
repeat until its clean
your car will smell like simple green for about 50 miles

There is a Simple Green Automotive specifically for this, it cleans wheels very well too. Remember to start the car and run it for ten minutes after you are done, that way you get no water spots.

Once the engine dries, if you want to go for extra style points, use an aerosol rubber dressing on everything that is colored black (hoses, wires). A good one that applies evenly is Kure CRC Rubber Protectant or G'Zox Rubber protectant. I am sure you can find one of the two over in the states.
