cf trunk lid flies up
so I installed a cf trunk lid and its so light that if you pop it from the cabin with nobody around to catch it, it'll fly up really fast. I don't know what would happen if I didn't catch it (probably fly off and into the sky) but I don't want to find out. anybody else install a cf trunk lid come up with a solution for the springs?
Did you have a wing on your trunk before? Is there one now?
I'm assuming that you went from a winged trunk, to a wingless CF trunk. The easiest solution I can think of is to find springs for a wingless trunk. They may not be the best solution, but they are less powerful then the springs for winged trunks.

I can't really help, the 2nd post seems like what I would do. But this thread reminded me of when my little brother's friend took the wing off his STi...the trunk smacked this other dude right in the chin hahahahaha...it was classic.
