Has anyone installed a Subaru bumper hitch on a WRX with the factory ground effect plastic? If so how did it fit? It seems as though there would be a conflict beneath the license, so I'd love to hear from someone who knows.

I've never heard of anyone sticking a hitch on a WRX. The Subaru dealer told me you couldn't tow with a WRX because of it being turbo and it would overheat.

 

Although it is not common, I know it is done. I actually am not planning on towing anything, I just want a good place to mount a bicycle rack that wont screw up my paint or aesthetics. I figure I can quickly mount the receiver style rack when I want to use it. I don't think I'll be overheating my turbo this way... so the question remains, can I do this with the factory installed ground effect package?

Sedan or Wagon? I think you need to cut the plastic on the Wagon. Maybe do a search?
