Bulb Question
i have an 04 wrx and i cleared out the headlights and put in superwhite bulbs, i didn't realize at the time but my high beam bulb that i put in was a 65 watt and the stock one was a 60, i was wondering if this could cause any damage like melting the wiring harness or sumthing like that, thanks in advance
Don't worry for that is just 5 more watts, but don't use those blue plasma.
I also recommend Sylvania silver Star they come custom with a high brigh halogen bulb for the same wattage.

It took me forever to find the silverstars in H1 (what the 04 uses) but I finally found them at a place called suvlights.com, sold under the brand name "Osram" (same company, international name).
Just trying to help.

Just installed my SilverStar high/lows, Osram Diadem clear blinkers, and BlueVision driving lights (got em free with the Osram Diadems). Now I'm waiting for my SilverStar replacement foglight bulbs to show.
You can't see it in this pic but the driving lights have a bluish tint to match the blinkers. I love it!

The turn signals are Osram Diadems and you can buy them from Powerbulbs.com. Osram is Sylvania europe. The Parking lights? The ones in the clear cones? Order the Osram Diadems and Powerbulbs will throw in a free pair of Phillips Blue Vision bulbs to replace em. I just bought another pair to replace the clear bulbs in my clear corners.
Do I sound like i work forPowerbulbs yet?

so I got a pair of these nice Diadems and I didnt realize the orange signal isn't the bulb. I dont know how I missed that. So how do I take out the orange. Does this require going in the head light itself? I am just worried more about moisture issues, I did this with my Eclipse and I remember pulling out the ole hair dryer to seal it up. Let me know the easiest way thanks
Well, I did the ole remove the headlight and stick it in your oven trick. I had to cook it to melt the sealant. Then quickly pulled it open, popped out the orange cover, and resealed it. But afterwards, I came up with another, less invasive, idea. If you can find some long and skinny scissors/shears you could pop the orange cover off and cut it up through the bulb hole, then shake all the pieces out. Well, it looked like it would work.
Needless to say, I sealed everything up nicely. No moisture inside.
