Brightening up the engine bay…
I want to make the engine compartment a little more visually pleasing so I was thinking that I could polish all the metal pieces in there, but I am having trouble getting a nice chrome like finish on my TurboXS BOV. Dos anyone have an idea what grit sanding disc I should use to get it smooth enough to then polish it nicely?

i would start with 1500 at the very least and then move to 1800 and then 2000. from there use the mothers wadding polish (wear latex gloves the metal gets in your pores and takes forever to come out). use a polishing pad/disc on a drill to take it off and then clear coat it with an outdoor rated clear for automotive.
