And even if you point them down, the spread pattern allows the hid to reflect everywhere, still annoying oncoming traffic and thus alerting your local and favorite law enforcement person. I've seen many ricers try this in stock housings (ie, civics, accords and so on) only to have the local authorities ticket them. No use in fighting them. Even with the lights facing down with the concentrated portion of the beam just a few yards in front of the car, it still gave the oncoming traffic enough glare to flash them. This was for the Hondas. As for the 04 rex, The ones I saw with stock settings would definately blind oncoming traffic...... for like a mile away. As for pointing it down, the glare throwoffs to the side and above still caught the eyes of the police and it was asked if it came stock with the car. "Sorry officer, they are legal Hids but no they are not stock".. " heres a ticket sonny, they are not only offensive to others but it is a hazzard and will cause an accident down the road". Get the housings that are made for them or get projectors. They are awesome. HIDS rock:banana:
