ATTN: Mines Trunk Spoiler Owners!!!

I recently received my Mines replica trunk spoiler from Modified Toys, and I am going to install it on monday when it comes out of the paint shop. I was just wondering how you guys who have the wing mounted it to the trunk. I would prefer not to drill holes in the trunk; and I have heard that the real Mines trunk spoiler comes with just three very small pieces of double sided tape. I can't see how that would hold the spoiler on the trunk at speeds of 100+mph. Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

What is the website you got it from and how much was it? I have been wanting that thing for a while, but am not about to pay 600 for the Mines version.

www.nasioc.com - Modified Toys is having a group buy. It took me like 2 months to get mine though, so be prepared to wait for it...

Wouldn't the 3m tape mess up your paint when you decide to take it off? I would imagine it would leave a nasty residue.

I use the red backed Scotch tape. The exterior mounting stuff. Buy it at most hardware stores in rolls. Works extremely well! Very, very strong but comes off in one piece and removes without damaging paint. The damn stuff is even reusable (careful where you set it down). I've used it for various exterior body parts (my eyelids wont budge). I havent tried the 3M stuff so I can't really compare it. But I don't need to, this Scotch stuff rocks!

You're just upset that you only have 37 points with 600 some posts.
