Anyone have a Seibon product that they don't like/Like

Hey all I was thinking about picking up a Seibon CF hood.

I was looking at this one in particular.

Anyone have an opinion on these hoods?

TIA

Save your money. Your aluminum hood is comparably as light.

AFAIK, Seibon makes great products with excellent fit and finish. That hood "should" provide great cooling as well as give you that "cool" carbon fiber look. The only thing you should watch out for is shipping damages. May I ask why you were looking to purchase a new hood?

Just got a new Turbo upgrade and TMIC. And I needed to get a larger scoop. But I've been looking at a carbon fiber hood for a while. I think they look awesome and they look like they offer pretty good cooling with the vents and all.
I also potentially found a pretty good deal on a hood. So I'm looking at getting a hood vs. just getting a STI scoop.

Really I'm at a crossroad, part of me wants to make a sleeper. The other side wants to go loud. So I'm trying to see who has one of these hoods and how they feel about them.

Had one arrive today, well packed, only opened to check for damege and rewrapped. No damage or scratches, finish is excellent, will let you know about fit once installed. Has holes for windshield squiters, and two bolts for original hood latch. Anyone have a Seibon product that they don't like/Like-carbon-fiber-hood-001.jpg

I had a carbon hood from them. I sold it becuase of the attention I was getting from cops. Fit a finish was good but definately not oem.just little things that bugged me about the hood.

I had that hood on my 07 STi, great hood looks mean.. Very pleased with it. Fitment was perfect.. Only problem is the holes for the window sprayer where too small for putting the stock ones in place.. Not a big deal just didn't bother putting them in..

Great hood though. Seibon FTW 5*****

Yes, the fit was great, easy to intsall, same problem with the squiter holes being to small. I carefully filed the holes a little to get them on. Very pleased with the fit, fender/hood gap 2mm wider but it's straight. Can post pics. if anyone wants to see fitment.
