you have to take a heat gun and melt the seal and pull the lense off, remove the chrome piece and scuff and paint it with high temp paint, engine block paint preferably. did it to mine only to clear the orange pieces but painted a friends all with the same process in about 2 hrs.

it is easy, the hard part is getting them out of the car.
oven 225 deg, 20 min, pull it apart, not hard.
but the the triwhen you put them back together is get the wiring harnes readyt o go back in, the low bean bulb connector, get that in first pull it through, then assemble it, if you do not it is a ***** to get in and acrross the back when assembled.
stupidchicken03 i had an 02 those were easy to get in and out, and paint.
the 06 is the one with the wiring harness dilema.

oh hid, i do not know what they look like inside, i thnik they they are the same, just the bulbs and the ballast are things that are different.
i never saw one, hid light assembly, but it still is a just parts that can gotogether only one way. i would just do not take the projectoer lens assembly aprt. it kinda breaks down in to three pieces. the lens the back and the guts, other then that there was nothing else to take apart, kinda do not need to. imean three parts that you do not have to touch excluding the reflector that you want to paint. the only suggestion that i have is mask off the silver area underneath the orange reflector, dont paint it black.
