consider what mmboost said tho. It is really annoying driving my car after its been sitting in the sun (I have kartboy knuckleball shift ****) and you should seriously consider this. Obviously if u almost always park in the shade its not much of an issue, but at least at my school, shades not an option, and it does get annoying.

It looks good though! And I do agree that getting the shift pattern burned into your palm would be pretty awesome

You gotta remember that the opposite is also true. In the winter time my hand sometimes freezes to the stupid metal shift ****. Its like shifting with a chunk of ice in your hand if you don't wear gloves. And yes it sucks to touch the **** when it's been sitting in the sun all day. Now that I think about it, I wonder why I haven't bought a new shifter **** yet???

even tho my ti shift **** gets hot during the summer.. i have had the car 3 summers and have only been burnt like 2 times. I prefer the feel of an all metal ****.

For the above reasons I will only use a leather, plastic, carbon or otherwise non-metallic ****.

There was a guy in NC that was custom machining shift *****. His design was kind of like a honey dipper, it had fins to get rid of heat in the summer. Do a search and email him, maby he will make some more. They were CNCd and very nice
