Just replaced the yellow diamond-shaped useless lights on my '03 sedan with some crystal clears that are sold on many sites. I had been pre-worned that they would not fit correctly and tend to melt from the heat generated by the bulbs, so I can't really complane, but i was wondering if there were any better quality ones available such as the decent ones you can buy for the 2.5's that allow you to use the oem harness and fit well. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I wish i knew, i had no idea of problems with side marker lights when I got mine. A month after i put them in they melted. I ordered the carbon fiber sti covers, I figure with no light and adhesive attachment, what can go wrong? In the meantime my bulbs are held in with duck tape.

 

Yeah, I think i will just take the bulbs out of mine and that way they won't melt. Wish some one could recommend some better quality ones to us!

 

when I look for parts I generaly try to find every possible aftermarket version of that part

for side markers here goes:
-OEM markers: orange, came with the car
-Austraila OEM markers: orange with a second set of orange markers
-STI Clear Markers: these come clear/smoked/or WR blue smoked and include the 2nd set of markers
-JUN Clear Markers: (all the clear markers you see are replicas of these)
-Replica Clear markers without bulbs
-Replica Clear markers with bulbs (this is what you have)
-STi carbon covers
-Replica Sti carbon covers
-C-west plastic cover (you have to paint match it)
-Zerosports Carbon Air Duct
-TSL Carbon or Plastic "Wing Vent"
-"Side Air Intakes"- I dont know who makes these

Wow! Thanks for all the research and info. Presently, i have taped up the wires and am running the replica clear side markers without wiring them up ( no chance of those bad boys burning-up now!)
