9007ST Bulbs for Stock Headlights
I was up late at night one night and saw a commercial for
Sylvania Silver Star Halogens. So I said, ah...what the heck,
I tried them.
Here are the results:
Old HB5-9007 Headlights
New 9007ST - Silver Star

Maybe I'll take some pictures as I drive to show you the
difference.
Any recommendations for the fog lights and the day/running
lights??

They were only $19.99 each!
I got them from AdvancedAutoParts.
I originally bought them from Sylvania.com (on 5/18/03)
got them on 5/20/03 for $58 but realized 2 days ago
that I got the wrong ones, I ordered by mistake 9006st
instead of 9007st so then I just went to AdvancedAuto
Parts and bought them for $19.99 each. Took like 5 mins
to install them, it was pretty simple. Made a big difference,
I was really surprised.

you've gotta be kidding
Yellow? There's absolutely no yellow at all.
Here's a mega close up ... my camera catches all the colors.
This is about as in-person as you can get...any closer they'd
blind ya, hehe...but check'em out...
Here are the left and right sides with different angles...
(i know, my passenger side day running light is out!, hehe)

Anyone see yellow that I can't see ? I certainly can't see
yellow at all except for the day running lights. Those will
be SilverStar H3's when they start selling them.

Ah, no biggie at all. I'd love to see them though, I'd be
interested in seeing pictures. I was just amazed at how
much of a difference the SilverStar's made, but you know
what they say, there's always something better out
there. If you can take a picture I'd love to see them.
thanks buddy!

ps: have any suggestions for my FOG lights and
my day running lights (as you can see, one of
them is burnt out)

You've come to the right place! I am currently resizing the photos I just took at 4:33am... bet the neighbors are freaked. I also had to change out a burt out fog light I just noticed.
I use PIAA Xtreme White 168s on the Parking lights, and KOBA (avail. on ebay) H3s for fogs and 9007s.
I originoally set out on replacing just the fogs and parks, at the time I had silverstars. I then saw how much whiter and brighter the fogs were, I then ordered the 9007s and eventually found the 168s really cheap on ebay too. (Hey, you're talking to someone with 96 positive feedbacks, almost all from buying).
(oh, hey, you're a NJ'er... Camden County here... southeren extreme end of Rt 73)
edit: I gotta go to bed, I'll post the pics first thing tomorrow!

I'm gonna buy your bulbs for the hell of it and have them side by side. Something is wrong with those SilverStars, your SilverStars do look entirely too yellow for some reason.
So what bulb is it? KOBA ? I'll test'em out. I do like the
Extreme white parking lights...I'll look into getting those but
if the KOBAs are better then I'll have to make the transformation
over. I just bought other lights off ebay the other day, I'm gonna
test those too. Supposed to be brighter and 5000 instead of
the normal 4000, 4250, 4500...So we'll see.
Thanks for posting the pictures.

this is for the wrx right? if i thought so correctly, the drl's are just a lower strength of the regular bulbs???
i replaced my headlights and fogs with new ones from toucan industries...side by side comparasion, the toucan super brights were alot whiter, no yellow at all and basically shined the same distance. the only thing i noticed the most was that reflections of road signs were not as bright as before...not that much of a difference really, just a little.
