6 hour tint

I'm going to get my windows tinted in the morning. 5% on the back windows and 20% on the driver & passenger side windows. The job is gonna cost $135 with a lifetime guarantee from tears, bubbles, cops, ect... The guy says it will take 6 hours to do the job. I don't have the time to sit and babysit my ride for 6 hours and I definitely don't want him to do a 4 hour job and 2 hours of driving my ride. Only thing I know to do is to record the amount of miles on my car and pray. So my question is "How long did it take the people to tint the windows in your subbies?"
My car is an 04 WRX..Thanks

that about right. they do other cars too. about 3 - 4 hours if only yours but they jump from cars to cars just to get it in on the day.

did he see it or was the quote over the phone? the WRX is an easier car to tint because of the frameless doors. the tinter may also be a "puller" which means he pulls the door panels to tint the doors. there are some tint places that have the tint computer cut and i think they usually get done around an hour. i remember when i tinted my Integra (long time ago) it was less than 2 hours doing it myself and cutting the film to fit.

Only took 4 hrs. He finished it eariler than quoted and charged me $25 less. I just get really paranoid when I have to leave my car sitting around (in a shop, parking lot, ect...). The guy did a great job on it, even put a black vinyl strip accross the front for free. Thanks all for the imput.

I'll be posting a poll pretty soon with a couple different vinly layouts on my ride to see what people like best. I can't do alot of performance mods untill my warrenty expires. Unless I get bored and void it any way.

legal limit here is- Able to see a driver's license through the driver or passenger side window in the daytime. The guy said the tint was legal and if I have any prob's he will replace it for free. Tennessee laws are not really strict when it comes to mods...no exhaust laws, ride height laws are hardly ever enforced, and tint is only enforced if you give em another reason to pull you over. Only mod I see alot of complaints from cops about are stereo systems.
