Just a quick question

I was replacing the fog light in someone’s wagon today and I ran into a little snag. I pulled the bulb out no problem (went through the wheel well) and had no problem putting another one in. But the only problem is that it seems very loose in there and there is this metal bracket that seemed to sit on the back of it or maybe ran through part of it to hold it in place (metal bracket is fixed in the housing).

I didn’t notice this when I took it out and it came out no problem but now I can't get it in there to sit securely. Any ideas or what that metal bracket is that seems to hold it in place? Manuel doesn’t say too much and thats why I am on here asking.

If it's an 02, the proper way to access the bulb is to remove the fog light assembly from the bumper. On the 04-05 with the smaller fogs it's done from behind.
