04 wrx headlights with black housing.

04 wrx headlights with black housing.

.. okay basically how do i get them? because i've seen it on some rexs before and it looks something like this:

so i was just wondering if he just took out the amber piece and painted the housing black himself. thx in advance.

yep, bake the lights, take out the orange, the outside trim part is removable, and paint that.

i've done it. looks good to me.

I have an 05, the headlights are black with the amber piece inside. It came like that, car is new not used.

yes, the 05's are like that. they took the idea from the forums! do a search for headlight mod- i'm pretty sure its stickied either here or nasioc- remove the headlight, 15 minutes in the oven @ 200 degrees, the epoxy/glue stuff gets soft, you pop open the headlight. then get to work.
