9007... and yes you can replace it yourself.. its a very easy thing to do.. just unscrew the back of the headlamp, and then disconnent the harness from the bulb itself.. and then retrace your steps backwards...

Thanks ill try it tomorrow unscrew the back of the foglight how do i even get to that lol im not sure if you realized but its the foglight not the headlamp but maybe im reading your reply wrong.
Wait, it's not 9007, that's the headlight. The fog bulbs are H3.
In order to access the bulb, you need to remove the foglight from the bumper. It's held in by three 10mm bolts (be careful, there looks to be a fourth but that's the aiming screw, you don't want to turn that one). Once you take the bolts out, the fog will come out of the bumper. Unplug the connector in the back, and you can then open up the bulb cover. You'll see the bulb inside. Undo the retaining clip, unplug the bulb and pull it out.
You should buy a pair of new bulbs not just one, this is both to keep the light output uniform and because the other one will probably blow soon anyway. Be certain not to touch the new bulbs with your fingers when handling them, the oil from your skin can cause the bulb to overheat and burn out quickly. If needed you can clean the bulb glass with alcohol.

Well my fog light blew out on my 02 wrx and replaced one bulb and bolted it back on and noticed it was pretty rusty and the bolts were corroding and i went to the next light to do the same and got through two bolts and the last one snapped the head right off soooo i tried use a bit to drill then use an extractor to pull out the old rusty bolt and no luck so i was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the sheet metal part that the bolt is in i guess its a foglight mounting plate because i should be able to work with it alot easier with it completely off the car. any suggestions are welcome also
The plate is captive in the bumper cover but can be removed once the fog light and bolts are out. Unfortunately it will be difficult to remove it if one of the bolts is still stuck, because the way it is installed/removed is by tabs that slide over slots in the bumper. With the broken bolt still in place you won't be able to slide the plate to get it off.
