i bought a 2000 4 Door RS a few weeks ago, and have been very happy with it. however, i was installing replacement bulbs today, and i noticed what appeared to be flaking on the paint of the front bumper! wtf!?!? so i take a look at it, and it doesnt appear that the paint is chipping or flaking, but appears to be more of just a clear coat or finish that is flaking off. has anyone else had this problem? the car isnt that old, so i would hate to think that the paint on subarus is that bad... any info or feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

I had the same problem with my '98 outback sport b4 i got rid of it. First the clear coat started bubbling and then started flaking off...it only happened on the hoodscoop and hoodvents however. So the best thing to do is make sure you wax the hell out of it from now on if you get the problem fixed...or a brand new paint job.

 

what douchebags... i called the salesman and asked him if it had been in a wreck or something and wasn't disclosed, and he said no. that there might have been something small wrong with it and they might've repainted it wrong... somethin like that. anyway, they are letting me take it in to hopefully get looked at and fixed, and ill have a WRX loaner car... aint nothin wrong with that! they better still fix that paint job or ill be pissed... thanks for the repsonses. damn scoobies. i hope i dont regret getting this scooby... i had no problems with my HONDA ACCORD!!! lol.

HA! i know... i had to do it though... serious, hondas are built like freakin tanks... bulletproof cars, just not a whole lot of fun to drive...
