Thinking about installing Oil temp gauge on 09 impreza
Hey all, Im thinking about installing a Oil Temperature Gauge because the stock dash cluster only gives me a light indicator, and im worried, that its not suffiecient enough.
Anyways, Ive read on how to install the gauge, but im a bit skeptical. Will a oil filter sandwhich fit on the 09 models? I ask this because the exhaust loops around the oil filter.
Also, How would I wire the Gauge to the cabin? Would i need to open up a hole from the engine compartment into the cabin? And then from there, would i need to remove the whole dashboard to wire the gauge?
Thanks

It's all good. Thanks though heedz.
After talking to another guy on here, I learned that it may just be useless to get an oil temp gauge as the light indicator is suffcient enough, and the N/A's will not reach high oil temps unless there have been some engine mods.

I am using a sandwich adapter on mine. Has 4 ports I think, which should be more than enough for all the gauges one would want. Pressure is much more important for a turbo than N/A, but still good to know on any car.

Thanks for that info
BTW, has the Sandwich plate caused any disturbance in the flow of the oil? or has it caused more leaking?
Ive read about those two issues with any plate.

Zero leaking, but that was a concern of mine too. I am using the Greddy as recommended, as it has dual seals. There are only a few that have dual seals, and those are the ones you want. Oil pressure appears same as stock, and reads as it should. The sandwich is relatively small and designed in such a way that it should not affect flow enough to matter.
