Hella Horns +08 STi

Has anybody installed Hella Horns onto their 08 Sti or Wrx.
I have a few questions..

1. Do you have to take off the front bumper to do it?
2. Do you have to drill holes or buy a harness?
3. I heard some problems about the horns getting in the way of the hood latch, is this true?

Yes, it's better to take off your bumper. There are two stock horns, one is right next to the latch and the other is on the passenger side. You don't need a relay, it's only about .5db louder from what someone told me. Also, you do not need to drill extra holes, I mounted mine a little further out there are 2 little holes on the rad support, so you can mount it on there.

i just did mine, no relay needed, yes you have to pull the bumper.

i just made some 1/8" aluminum brackets to set the hors a little wider so they are fully visible.

heres how they sit now.

to the guys who didnt use the relay. how did you wire the horns or did you just wire positive to negative of the original horns? or did you just use the stock horn positive and then ground out the horns? i have my set sitting in my garage. if i get the info soon i can just install the horns while i do my HID conversion and while i paint the grill flat black this weekend

Use stock horn positive and make your own ground.

thanks man i appreciate the help also, i just bought my car sunday and im pretty broke now. i can't currently justify spending $60 for wires and a piece of aluminum , i know i can make something from the tons of wires and chunks of aluminum i have hanging around my garage. maybe ill use a piece of my carbon fiber and make myself a carbon fiber mount.

There is a hole already pre drilled on the rad support no need to drill anything look at the pic, i posted above you can see how it further out from the center and other pics posted its right next to or quarter of it is hiding. By the way you have mistaken that i<3 subaru is a female.

i actually did notice but ill say my bad anyways, i meant no disrespect. i always call girls, man or dude, its a habit. if i had a nickle for everytime i have heard girls say " im not a dude" i wouldnt owe half as much on my subaru. and i did notice the difference in where yours was mounted compared to some others. i really like the location, where you can fully see the supertones.
