another debadge
just decided to debadge my obs on a whim yesterday. ran outside with wd40, floss, and a towel and 40 minutes later im finished the one side (outback and sport). it came out alright, fingered the adhesive off a little aggressively so now its a little glossier where the words were... but nothing a little compound/polish won't fix hah. will post pictures later.
finally got the pictures up.

only did the one side (this one obviously)

after pulling the "sport" piece off first

part of the way through outback (with the floss behind the b)

almost done!

you can kinda see where the letters were due to the intense rubbing it took to get the adhesive off. but that should come out with a quality detail

doing the left side soon

whats up everybody. just finished debadging the other side and i must say... i like

just sprayed with wd 40

the ball is rollin

almost there

now all we need is a good wash

ta daaaaaaaa. i like the clean look

this side came out less messed up looking. probably in part because it was ungodly hot out so the adhesive wasn't clinging to the car as much, therefore less rubbing

this was the first side i did and i rubbed a lot.

and this last one is just for fun hah
i maaayyyyy consider putting impreza lettering on there but for now were stickin with nude. next exterior upgrades are looking to be grille, mudflaps (maybe), hid's, and a mild headlight tint

nice thats funny. ideally id like to grab one of the older impreza badges thats all one piece like this one cause it'll definitely give my obs a unique look.

problem is they won't sell it to me right now because they're moving their location or warehouse or something. sucks right

Seems like a lot of the tape left on there. I heated mine up with a heat gun (or use a blow dryer) first and they came off pretty cleanly the first time. There was only a little residue here and there.

debadge
heat works very well, but i did the opposite on my 2010 STi. i did my debadging during the morning time in winter and they came right off with no clue left over. the adhesive was to hard and will break away with the badge. just a thought. both work just fine.
