08+ wrx side markers?

Hey, I like the look of side markers. I was just wondering if anybody knew if they have stock side markers in japan or europe due to the safety regulations and stuff? And where I could get them? I only want them if they are stock from the factory not big bulky ugly aftermarket ones. All input is great. Thanks!

You can either swap in the STi mirror markers or cut up your fenders and pop in the fender mounted side markers. The STi markers and caps can be had at the dealership I think the fender mounter markers are also available at the dealer ship as well but I'm not sure.

Here's more info for the mirror markers. http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php/topic,11816.0.html

hmmm. I thought about the mirrors but it seems like a huge amount of work. Worth it though i bet. :) I wish I could come up on some folding mirrors with the leds. That would be sick. but I was mostly asking if the 08+ had fender markers in japan for the wrx and impreza because i thought only the sti's had the mirror ones?

Jeez, seems like a lot of work to me :/

There are fender mounted signals. You gotta cut your fender for them. There are two different kinds. There is a JDM version and a USDM version. The USDM ones are really cheap but you can replace the bulbs in them. The JDM ones are a little more pricey but they have removable bulbs.

I don't know where you can get them but I know Eric (daios) has a set of fender mounted signals.

He said he got them at a local dealership and the wire connectors off ebay.

Hmmm. The mirrors seem like a **** load of work but I have always wanted the power FOLDING mirrors. :) The fender markers seem like the easiest and cheapest way, what is the difference between the jdm and usdm markers? Are they different dimensions? THanks jourdan you always have an answer for anything 08+. lol

JourdanWithaU 04-14-2011 07:56 PM

I think the dimensions are the same. The USDM ones are cheaper but have the bulbs built into them so if they burn out you have to replace the whole thing. The JDM ones are more expensive but have removable bulbs.

I eventually want to get some side markers and I am hesitant to cut into my fenders. I hope to get my hands on some power folding mirrors with markers. I have been watching this thread closely. http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php/topic,18374.0.html

Wow. I wish I could find some power folding mirrors. I would love that and the mirror sidemarkers and it doesnt seem like that hard of an install but finding them is the hard part. :/ Have anymore pictures of the fender sidemarkers? I kinda dont like the look of them on our models.

hwob90 04-16-2011 06:21 PM

I was going to order the ones off of a DC5 they are a little smaller and I think they would look good.

iDriveMyi 04-16-2011 06:49 PM

Off an integra? I kinda like the bmw sidemarkers but I think i'll just hold out for some power folding mirrors. :)

hwob90 04-17-2011 11:05 AM

off of a RSX but idk if I am going to do it.
