transmision fluid change
i have heard that in automatic that u cant just drain the fluid out u have to drop the pan and theres no sense in doing that unless ur going to change the filters. i have a manual transmision. Is it the same thing ? or can i just drain it and put in new fluid. Also what fluid should i use

For a manual transmission, it usually takes around 3 to 3 1/3 quarts.
You just drain it from the drain bolt, and fill it from the transmission dipstick hole.
You can use Subaru Extra S gear oil or 75W-90 gear oil would work as well.

Hi everyone I have Subaru Extra S Tranny Fluid for sale, anyone interested text me at 323-559-6237 in the Los Angeles area. I just used enough for my fluid change so I have about 15 Qts out of a 20 liter bucket.
