So you want to change the pink STi emblem on the trunk to chrome, or from chrome to pink without removing/damaging the existing 3m tape?

Buy a can of compressed air, turn it upside down and freeze the emblem. Make sure the emblem is nice and frozen, then start pulling on the emblem from one corner. If you froze it enough the emblem will come off the 3m tape without damaging the tape itself. Once the emblem has been removed clean the surface around the 3m tape making sure you don't touch the tape. Take a heatgun or hair dryer and reheat the 3m tape until its sticky. Take the other color badge align it on the tape and firmly apply pressure for a 5 or more minutes.

thats a good idea to freeze first, works well too if you take your time and do a nice job.

Thanks for the info.
