perrin pulley
ive seen the installation video for the perrin pulley on hspn but was wondering how your supposed to know when its torqued 90 foot pound is. thats at 4:23 in the video, anyone have any ideas? i wanna make sure i know how to to know this before getting this. i only have regular socket wrenches and havent used a torque wrench before, is it just a wrench that can be adjusted to certain pounds and once its tightened at that amount, than that means its tightened at the set amount of fts per pound

you can buy a torque wrench anywhere. sears has craftsman ones. or you can get a cheap one at Kragens or Napa auto parts stores etc.
on a torque wrench you set what torque you want on the handle. as you tighten a bolt at the specified torque pressure the wrench will click.

one more question. i have an 07 2.5i and the belt covers a little different from the one in that video. i was wondering if loosening this bolt will affect anything because it looks like it goes really far back but thats the only other thing holding the cover on.

We did a friend's yesterday. I think it took us and hour. Not too bad. It was on a '99 GC 2.5RS. It wasn't too long. Just make sure you seat the pulley correctly. Also, I think that bolt connecting the pulley is a 22mm. That might be something most socket sets won't have. Might want to check.

Flex plate
OK, I contacted Perrin about putting the pulley on my automatic and they said the install is the same but I would just have to hang on to the flex plate when taking the crank bolt off. So, what is the flex plate??? What does it look like? Will I need an extra set of hands to hang on to it while I crank the bolt off? Thanks again.
