Ipod question

Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but does the stock 2005 sti head unit have auxiliary input for an ipod?

RE: no AUX input

...and now you have an excuse to rip the old one out and throw in a new Alpine!

I would think that would get annoying with having to have the blank CD in there, I'd just get an Alpine head unit that has the iPod cable coming from it so you can control the iPod out of your head unit (and charge it too), then just switch to other sources when needed...

not to hijack, but i have a similar question and i dont wanna start a new thread. im tired of using an fm transmitter due to the crappy quality it gives out. On my deck [aftermarket], theres 2 rca's that say "cd changer in" is there a way i can make it work through that?

^^^Probably. Go to Radio Shack and get a cable that goes from the RCA (1 red 1 white) to a headphone jack. Plug the headphone end into your ipod and you should be good. You'll need to get a car charger for your ipod, because this connection will not charge it.

i tried that, but it still doesnt work. on my deck, theres no option to switch to the cd changer mode. basically, theres the actual cd changer plug thats round and has many pins in it and theres just 2 rca's that say cd changer in. im guessing i have to have something plugged in the round hole to make it think i have an actual cd changer installed so maybe that option to switch will come up? please give me your suggestions. thanks
