Help - 03 WRX performance gauge package SENSOR

I have a OEM WRX performance gauge package installed in my 03 wrx. The oil drain plug sensor finally stopped working. I am planning on putting a new sensor (in a different location) to replace it. Possible in the Galley plug or maybe a sandwich adapter.

PLEASE does anyone have any suggestions of what brand and or resistance rating I should look for in a sensor.

What sensor(other than the OEM oil-pan drain sensor) will work on the OEM gauge package?

thanks

Unfortunately I have never seen anyone post that they successfully used a different sensor. You would need to have a good working one to take resistance vs. temp readings so it could be matched to something else.

Unfortunately the OEM sensor/drain plug assembly is insanely priced @ around $200 from Subaru.
