Red face Downpipe install?

I am planning on getting an RS*R Downpipe for my RS*R GT2 exhaust on my 07 TR, and I need help with the installation without messing anything up. I was wondering if the stock o2 censor is welded or screwed on the downpipe, and if so, will I be able to just screw in the new censor on the new downpipe without the engine check light coming on? Please put in step by step instructions, and pics if possible. Thanks.

Ive got on 02 Wrx and i put a full Turboback system in.. By far the hardest part was the Up pipe. Anything from the turbo to exhaust tip is cake! The O2 sensor was screw out/in. I would think cuz you still have cats your check engine light should be ok.. im waiting for my access port to come in sense i dont have any cats.

^^^ agreed... the downpipe back is pretty straightforward. The uppipe is a PITA both to gut and install, although if you're going to do the uppipe then you might as well do the whole thing anyways... (and perhaps vice versa).

You may want to get an O2 sensor socket adapter...

And PLENTY of PB blaster is your friend - make sure you let that stuff soak in overnight!!!

What is PB blaster? And with the o2 sensor adapter, does the extend the wire and keep the engine check light from coming on? Thanks.

PB Blaster is like WD-40, a thread lubricant....it works in similar fashion.

ahem. PB Blaster is a life saver. I didn't need it for my DP install, but it worked miracles on the knuckles for my strut swap.

How does it sound?

yeah DP should not be too hard
let it soak for a few hrs before proceeding
BTW whatever you do, don't reuse the oem gasket
