Cam Position sensor

Hello everyone I have a 92 Legacy L all stock with almost 230k, last Sunday after church my engine suddenly died out on me, I had no warning, no engine light or anything. I had it towed to a shop where some mechanics in our school district could take a look but they didn't know what to do. So I did a lot of reading and downloaded a manual for my suba and found out how to set it into diagnostic mode and it read back a code 13 for the cam position sensor, I read online that this causes the cam to fail to report to the cpu the rotation and speed of the cam and then the cpu does not send the signal to the coil to send a spark to ignite the fuel/air mixture, now this sounds about right since my suba is turning over fine but is not starting I can smell fuel in the engine area but that is about it not sparking at all I replaced the battery and what not. now the issue I'm having is finding where this sensor is actually located on the engine. I read that it is near the front between the belts and I think I found it but I want to be sure so any tech docs or pictures would be extremely helpful.
