WTBorrow: crankshaft pulley tool

need to pull my timing belt off and need this tool to do so. i have checked all the parts stores around here none carries this tool,any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

You need to get the bolt out? Isn't that the one where you put it in top gear and push the brake pedal while someone else uses a breaker bar to loosen the bolt?

You don't need the tool. (I'm assuming you're talking about the st 499977300) Just put it in 5th with the wheels on the ground and it'll come right off.

i tried that and it seems the motor is still turning a little aand i am not sure how much it is ok to move and also dont wanna mess any thing up

Breaker bar and hammer plus putting it in gear maybe even some pressing the brakes. Works all the time. The motor will turn a little bit just position the pulley till you feel the most in friction then hammer away at the breaker bar

decided to give it another try with my wife holding the brakes low and behold she is off thanks guys anyone wanna help me reset my timing belt ill be doin it today,all ways welcome help escpecially since i am still new to subarus. thanks again guys
