well I wouldn't use a used PCV valve to diagnose a problem. If anything, I'd buy a new one. They aren't that expensive. Servco should have them for about $15. It's probably time to change it if you haven't done so already. They are known to clog up. The new ones will move a lot easier when you shake them.
