after more then a year... my search continues... need a 5spd for my WRX... im currently still deployed but i will be back in mid march and need to find a tranny so i can replace mine and maybe sell her...

That's your first problem. Always use a stock clutch with a stock wrx trans...period. If a stock clutch can break gears why the hell would you want something stronger?

and the solid disc is just asking for something to break, the springs are in the disc for a reason...to absorb a little of the shock if you dont slip the clutch properly.

the smell of burnt clutch is actually your friend...unless you want to drop a few thoushand on som stronger gears.

Don't even waste your time with RA or 04-05 gears. They dont like stronger clutches either.

You can get the MFactory close ratio 1-4 for only $2300
