I've got one for sale! 120k miles. Are you planning to rebuild or drop in? Cyl walls look good and the reason for motor failure was the heads. If interested can give you details.

I have 3 of them.
If you get a used one, take it fully apart, clean everything, and replace the bearings. It's worth the couple of dollars and time.
I have learned this the hard way.
It doesnt matter how carefully someone takes apart and stores an old block...there will be contaminants introduced.
Spraying out the inside doesnt work either. It will create a couple of tiny rust spots that you cannot see. This tiny bit of rust will be on a bearing surface that you cannot see. The engine will fail shortly.
If you are going to go through the effort to take one apart and rebuild it, why not just rebuild an old Outback 2.5 with stock STI internals?
Outfront Motorsports is a good option for a refreshed used block...that will be clean and ready to drop in.

^^ Chads right on here as usual. No sense doing all the work just to replace it again. However, if you choose to stick with the 2.0l, my block is priced as a casing but includes all internals, so if you choose to reuse them you can.
well i was having really bad rod knocks and idk i feel like **** cause i'm still paying for the car so kinda on a tigt budget i was jus gonna try a short block on here... what should i do?
