anybody know divers or can hook up w/ saltwater creatures?


mostly very interested in cleaner shrimps..

are u talking bout the shrimps that live in the small container at longs and stuff?

i am not sure if those can live in the tank, cuz the tank conditions may not support it, and i dont wanna kill it, or have it be eaten by my other fish..

ohhh...what other fish do you have in your tank? my boyfriend has 3 triggers.

 

just a little heads up on those shrimps....i had a bunch of those things swimming around my tank for about 3-5 days then they all just died!....i went to the pet store to ask what was up with that?!....they explained that this cleaner shrimp live in pretty deep waters meaning the temp of my tank was prolly not cold enuogh for them to sustain life . there is one way to fix this problem though,they told me to just get a chiller (forgot the actual name) it sounded like a good idea till they told me how much it cost....$700 funny how they failed to mention that earlier before i bought them!

so unless you keep your tank in a very very cool place expect to see some shrimp floating at the top of your aquarium....just a heads up.

crap no way... i think my tank may be too hot, that's why... i've tried b4 but they DIED instandly but it was back then when i was REALLY REALLY NOOB.. now i think im a pro at it :P but scared to try these again...


i keep my tank at 84 day, low 80 at night, i would like to get it at 82 tops, but have yet to buy a fan to blow across the tank. optimal would be 79-81 or so.

they do live in deep waters, and it doesn't mean the tank would have to be cold cold.. it is possible there are other reasons. did u just throw them in? or did u acclimate them?

i've got a royal gamma, a firefish, and a true perc, i have a green clown goby also but it is in the sump haha..

no i did all the precautions before putting them in...its just that my tank hits the sunlight like around 4:00-6:00pm this causes alot of fun shiet to happen like having my salt water evaporate leaving alot of salt on the outside of tank,high water temp, and having all my exotic fish die real fast....

the only things i'm left with is a 35 gallon tank half filled w/saltwater, a hermit crab ,one big azz snail i got while diving, and dragon eel.

oh and if your wondering why i just dont move the tank....well the answer is 1)i'm too lazy and 2)theres no where else to put it.

naw i dont go diving anymore due to my palu incident on my friends boat.
they go all the time though i'll prolly ask them to try and get some fish and what not....although its pretty hard to catch anything with out a net. (they just spear fish)

oh about the dragon eel its not an orange one....honestly i dont think it is a dragon eel. i just call it that because i got it from my friend and he called it that....i know which one your talking about though, yeah that eel is rare and very expensive....

man all this talk about fish makes me wanna buy some more! lol

I dive, and if someone wants to provide me with tanks and crap, I'll bring any fish they want out of the water. I even ran into a sea snake that isn't supposed to ever be in this far north last time I went diving.

would u mind catching some cleaner shrimps? or any kinds of shrimps? i will provide bucket for u, and even pay according how much you'll charge ..

also, for the fish, what kind can u get that are 'small sized'? will buckets work?

or did u mean that i provide a tank, and then u keep it till someone can get it? i was thinking like arrange a time so that when ur done, can just pick up..
