WTB: Drivers Side Front Hub 1998 rs
Wow the shop couldn't take off the axle? It should just push out after the axle nut comes off.
Did the shop say what methods they tried?
Here's what I would do.
First disconnect the axle from the transmission side. Reattach the hub back to the control arm.
I would have taken a hammer and a large punch tool and hammered the axle out, by placing the punch in the indentation that's located in the center of the axle that way you wont mushroom the end of the axle and mess up the threads. That should take it out unless its really rusted bad and fused together. It wouldn't hurt to spray it with PB blaster either.
If you don't have a punch use a block of wood.
