I disagree.
The word Cusco has one more letter in it than the word Cobb.
That has to be worth at least 10hp.

but what does that extra letter mean in weight savings?

What if you used titanium bolts?

Okay you have me there.
Maybe if you removed the sticker, there's potential power there.

Plus the Cusco one is made in Japan, so that's definitely worth something!

Maybe the sticker is made in Japan.
I think the heat shield is made in China though.

I used to have one, only add 5hp virtual power. I felt the STi going faster downhill, even without pressing the pedal. I think this mod is one of the best I invested in. I wish Cusco had that much power added. Also Cobb gave me an extra sticker to add let's say another 10HP, all in all made in USA.

To prove all that, I needed to get my car on Dyno during the PDX tuning, and basically, I thought my Perrin DP was pushing all those HP, but the stickers and cobb heatshield were the main power gain.

I gave +1 rating for those parts, and now back to Topic. To the OP, hope you can find one for cheap!!!

I agree with Norris. It's hard to say between the two, Cobb makes great parts....I would guess the Cobb Heat Shield would gain at lease 10whp. But, if you had it tuned by Jarred, it could be maxed out to 20. I was also told that cusco heat shields have tuning problums....

I raced a buddy of mine that had a Cobb Heat Sheld....All I can say is "Wow" just wow!!! But later on I found out he was cheating. He stuck 30 Cobb stickers underneath both of his side skirts giving him 40whp. Fricken Cheater..
