good thing you flaked on that bunk trans. worse purchase on iclub ive ever made...

chris-dont buy anything from this guy. this is the guy who sold me the bunk trans. also, i honestly dont think the seats are good or else someone else would have picked them up.

omg my old trans was better. chad can vouch (although he probably wont) that when he drove my car he did not feel my 1st gear syncro grind with my original trans. the trans i bought from that guy nick is terrible. he promised that if it was bad he'd give my money back--hes mia has not responded to my last 2 text messages. i swear the trans i bought from him is about to loose reverse. hard to get it into gear sometimes-have to really fight to get into reverse. also, getting out of any gear is the pits---grindage. and the car pretty much has an earthquake when i downshift into gears (mostly 2nd gear). this is not crazy downshifting, this is normal daily driving in traffic downshifting. i dont drive this car crazy-dont need to-waste of gas. ive honestly only wot'd this car twice-once in maui when i test drove it and once on oahu earlier this week (jackas$ cut me off and i had switched lanes to pass).

Sorry to hear about the trans. This isnt a fix, but it may help, drain a little of the thick gear oil that is in the transmission, maybe a quart, then fill it back up with ATF or a 5w.

I used to fill mine like 50/50 with free stuff at work, the 90w from a drum and toyota ATF.

it shifted smoother.

 

haha, thanks chad...yeah, ive been meaning to change fluid. right now its running redline mt-90.

 

Alright changed fluid and was devastated. Had the car on the life and the trans leaks. Also, the color of the fluid coming out was pretty crazy...first black, green, yellow...and tons of metal shavings. Pretty nuts for only a few weeks of driving. I guess I should have known better from the bad grammar and mispelled words...I had asked if the trans was ok and if there was anything wrong with it. He said it should be "gud". Said he removed it from a crashed wrx. I asked what the mileage was and he didn't know, which I thought was a little strange. He said he give my money back if it wasn't good. I asked him to meet me at Sonic because my wrx was there and was about to be worked on. Told him I would be there around 330 and had to leave by 5. He made me wait an hour and a half and didn't show. I had to call him and he made some excuses. Asked if he could drop it off later tomorrow. He finally dropped it off later the next day...lol
