For my 05 wrx. Having a misfire and changed the coilpack to a different cylinder and the misfire followed. So I assume I need a different one. Anybody have one?

I doubt it is a coil pack. I have never seen a bad coil on a subaru. Have you checked the small vacuum line to your fuel pressure regulator?

No haven't checked anything aside from wires and vacuum hoses. So switching the cylinder from 1 to 4 and it changing location of the misfire isn't the best way of figuring out why its misfiring? I'll take a look at the FPR. Thanks for input

Edit: everything looks attached to fpr.

pretty sure its the coilpack, the way you troubleshooted it was correct. by moving the coil of the misfiring cylinder to another cylinder and now the misfire is in that cylinder, the coil would be assumed as bad. as long as its a constant misfire in the same cylinder and not a random misfire/sputter.

Ummmm. Whichever was cyl 1. Grey I think. They are all dirty and all looked grey but their connector I believe was grey. I'll look in morning. How much would you want for it? I can swing by anytime after 0600 since I'm working mids

The connectors are white for front cylinders and black for rear. You can have one. I will be home. Give me a call after work.
