ait, ive done it before, i have a white sti wing/trunk. i want to go wingless or wrx wing. anyone want to do a straight swap, no money...let me know. my trunk is cherry, just a little adhesive left from the STI badge. lookin for cherry wrx/wingless ONLY...aspen white..let me know.

x 2, thought downforce/ performance was the reason to swap for a STi Wing?

 

does the sti wing really have more downforce than the wrx wing? like noticeably? i know its bigger and all. but i think the wrx wing is more sleek looking. i heard the wing only helps if u go like 100+mph, which i dont even hit in the quarter :-( so i dont really see the need for one at 60-70mph on the freeway. anyone got input on this wing debackle?

 

^^^Probably wanna do a search but yeah the wing only works at higher speeds. The usefulness increases if you get that extra wing that comes with the '06s.

 

At speeds of 60-70 it doesn't make much of a difference, but it does add downforce at speeds 80+ or so I've been told.

 

I guarantee you'll be better off finding someone on the street with a wingless or winged rex just like I found you, lol. Good luck with your search!

 

yeah i was the completely wingless guy that jared picked up at freakin quiznoes one day adn wanted to trade my car for some random truck...before i saw his car. i laughed in hsi face. hehe...good times jared. but tiare, the wing was both for looks AND freeway speed downforce, and it really works. now i need less WEIGht for the dragstrip, not as much downforce. so yeah....i think i shall have to look for someone on the street....

 

yup.. agree on the downforce.. and Weight in the dragstrip!
