Testing Waters: Nikon d40 kit & more parts.
Due to a reasonal offer, I might plan to upgrade to a d80. So I here's what I got. MSRP Nikon d40 kit from BestBuy is $690.00 + tax. Awesome Starter DSLR camera and it will inflict damage if properly used. Even rivals higher end DSLR cameras pictures. NIKON d40 purchase April of 2008 with all transferable warranty of 5 yrs. Never dropped and treated/Pampered like it was my 3rd car.
-As of now, 2260 shutter actuations/ # of pics. tooken. Life expectency of
60,000 shutters actuations according to nikionians.org
-Flawless Standard Nikon Aspherical 18mm-55mm AF(AutoFocus) lense with no scratch.(For wide angle shots)
-Flawless Nikon Telephoto lense 55mm-200mm Non VR AF lense with no scratch, also comes with Lense Hood for taking pics during those sunny sunny days.(For close up to really close up shots from far away/Ninja or Candid shots.)
-Flawless Fixed/Prime Nikon 50mm 1.8 Low light Lense with no sratch. Perfect for low light photography or taking portraits.(Great for Portraits or low light shooting.)
-Step Up Ring
-52mm SUNPAK Ultraviolet Filter
-55mm Multicoated Targa Circular Polarizer Filter
-55mm Targa UltraViolet Filter

Now that is a pack to start with or even buy at the price.
Telephoto and low light lense cost more added to the D40 price.
For aspiring photographers and who wants to be one, THIS IS A GOOD BUNDLE!!!
