ok guys ease up on the driving without insurance BS... its not my intent to drive around with out insurance, just cancelled mine bc they were ripping me off and i couldnt handle them charging me that one more time...
but yes it was a truck and it was in the rain... i tried to swerve rather then try and hit the brakes bc it takes less time to turn the wheel that your hands are already on, then it takes to move your foot to the brake pedal... i just simply didnt have the traction to maneuver/brake in time... he asked if i was ok as we both looked at our vehicles, and as i went back to my car and popped the hood, i looked up and he was driving away... so my guess is he didnt have insurance either...? or maybe he didnt give 2 ****s...? idk...
and am i right in saying that hawaii is a no fault state anyways?? or atleast thats what im told...
but anyways im still lookin for parts if anyone has anything to help me out... only had one person actually respond about having stuff...

I'm sorry but I'm not just going to drop it. "Because they were ripping me off" is not a valid excuse to have no insurance. And from the tone of your posts it sounds like you have no intention of getting new insurance. If I'm mistaken than forgive me, but we're all in the same boat. If you drive a performance oriented car, be prepared to pay more for insurance, more so if you're on the younger side. It's been said a billion times, but I'll say it once more: You've gotta pay to play...
I'm sorry, but I've just seen way too much of my friends get f**ked over because someone with no insurance hit them, and they're left paying for the damage all on their own for something that wasn't even their fault, and the result of someone elses stupidity. I'm not calling your accident a result of stupidity mind you, I'm just illustrating a point. You may or may not have been at fault this time (although from your description, it sounds like you are regardless of the circumstances), but what if you hit an insured car that was stalled on the side of the road or something? They would have been **** out of luck, and you'd be in a lot more trouble...

i shoot my bad... i didnt mention that i was goin with a different company... that might help lol... i in no way have any intention on completely just sayin eff insurance ill be good... god no... didnt mean to cause confusion... opted to not pay $380 a month and to go with a difference insurer is what i was meaning...
but yes either way you look at it, the accident was my fault... im not trying to negate that fact... i had not adjusted my driving to safely soot the driving conditions at hand...

Again, not to bust your ***** bro, but there's really no excuse for driving with no insurance. I can totally understand about not wanting to pay $380 a month any longer either. But, the smart thing to do would have been to find a new carrier first, then go tell your current insurance company to go eff off. Why would you drop them, run around un-insured, and then go look for somebody to insure you after the fact?
Again, not to bust your *****, but at my work place, I see it almost daily when people get hit and the other party doesn't have insurance. I really feel bad for those people. Hope you get it squared away soon.
