R Compounds for Sale for the Auto Xer

So here's what I have: All sets were heat cycled from Tire Rack. Plenty of meat left.

1 set (4 tires) 235/40/17 Kumho V700's w/ 6 races

1 set (4 tires) BRAND NEW 245/45/17 Kumho V710

Call Me if you're looking to move into R compound but don't want to fork out the cash for a new set of R's. 206-3611

Asking

Hey Jon, sorry for not calling back. As for price. A single tire (V700 heat cycled shipped) goes for about $225. I'm asking for about the same for a set of 4 tires. All have been stored in my enclosed garage. LMK what size you're interested in. I suggest the 235/40/17's due to the increased contact patch.

Too bad most OTHER Suby guys now are not into really driving their car to the limits and are serious about tires. Why buy a STI or WRX if you're not going to drive it like it should be driven????????

larry that's not bad for used tires.

I'm definately interested. Will that tire width fit ok on my car? I usually run 225

The perfect fit

Dude, the 225's will fit perfect on the 7.5". I had these on for only 6 races, then I sold my STI. LMK.

does the tyres still have tread pattern? Are they still soft or are getting a little stiff from sitting around?

I'm interested in the 225/45/17 but I probably won't be able to pay for them until my next pay day which is the 13th. If you can hold them for me ill take them once mu last questions are answered

Thumbs up Condition

These tires still have tread showing, though you can run them till the cords start to show. These are stored in my enclosed garage, so they are not weathered. The top layer is harden, but will scuff off after about 2 runs. Again, these have been heat cycled at Tirerack. Also, waiting for payday is fine.

Sleeper, Jon is swaying towards the 225's, but you can run the 235's on a 7.5" wheel. I did and ran really well. Keep in mind that the 235's are a 40 series so it gives a slightly better gearing and larger contact patch.

Jon, you were the first to inquire, so it's up to you on which set you want.

would i have any problems running the 235/40/17's?

I have about -2+ degree's of camber in the front and about -1.5 in the rear

My suggestion

Jon, I say run the 235's. It has a larger contact patch and better gearing. Just my 2 cents. As long as you aren't running a crazy offset you'll be fine.
