LF trans for my bug eye

my car is stuck in 4th gear and not coming out. i think im just gonna condemn the trans right here. so let me know guys

Is your garage on an incline? If the car rolled backwards while it was in fourth, you might have to roll it forwards a bit before you can disengage the gear.

my garage is flat. i tried to rock it back and fourth, change the gear oil, and disconnect the linkage and shift the trans manually still nothing. so i dropped the trans and plan on taking it apart tonight.
