If the engine's in the car still, you can have the car in 1st gear and put the 7/8' socket with breaker bar to break loose the crank bolt. You don't need it really unless the engine's out of the car and thats when you really need it. The resistance provided by the transmission and the car being on the ground still (not on jack stands) will allow you to turn loose the crank bolt. Just my way. You can still buy the tool though! Bump for you.

Screwdrive in the flywheel works everytime if the engine is out. Otherwise, put it in gear, ebrake, breaker bar.

If the crank pulley has the same holes as the GD crank pulley then I have the crank pulley holder that is stated in the FSM. No you don't need it but it's better than removing the radiator and using an impact gun on it since there is likeliness that the crank could get damaged. having the right tool for the job makes things a lot easier and it minimizes the possibilities of damage to other things. Do some research and let me know Brian.
