LF 08 sti tires
Hey guy I'm looking for a set of tires to fit my stock 18in wheels, I don't have the money to buy new tires right now but I ran over a nail and now my car sits
I just need 2 but will take a full set if you have them. Tread doesn't have to be great since I'll probably only use for maybe 600 miles before I get a new set, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I really don't trust plugged tires, you guys think it will be safe? I know how to do it and I've done it a million times so its not that I don't trust myself doing it, I just hate having to rely on it

Many people have run plugged tires during autocross with no problems. I had to plug mine yesterday because of a stupid screw. Be sure to use the actual tire plugs with rubber cement and not the green goo stuff. You'd be suprised, nails/screws in tires happen quite frequently here for some reason.

You should be fine with plugging. Yes, many a plugged tire at Autocross. They aren't as bad as you think. If you really worried, you can patch it as well. Depending on location and size, plug should be fine, especially in a short-term fix. You'd spend much more on mounting/balancing assuming you can fine identical tires. Good luck man.

Update, I just yanked the tire off and plugged it, looks like its going to hold just fine or at least until I can buy a new set.

Never plug tires. It will leak and the plug will eventually fail.
Only patching is acceptable for tire repair. Patches are fine for regular driving, but they are unsafe if you ever plan to race on them. Whoever autocrosses on plugged tires is just looking for a flat.
