LF: 03 wrx coil pack..

Having misfire issue...looking to swap out the coil pack see if it's the problem..any help would be helpful

do you have misfire in a particular cylinder? if so, i would recommend swapping the coil packs first....to see if the misfire moves cylinders. good luck

Hmm the last time I looked was on cylinder 4..Yeah so I dicided to swap it around...still misfire at wot only...maybe injecter??

Plugs are good pretty much new gapped to what ams gapped it to..

Hows the car idle? Any codes for iacv? When my iacv went out. the car sounded and ran like it was miss firing.

It idle perfectly fine...it only misfire on WOT...another thing I notice was when I roll up my window and thing everything kinda dims...like the light..my boost gets little effected too...is that normal?

Hope that coil pack helps, if you need to test the coil packs here's directions.

It's for the old 4 plug pack but it has the same 3 wire input so the procedure should be the same.

In some situations, a dying coil pack can allow the car to run fine under idle and regular driving. Issues arise during heavy load like in WOT where the car will experience misfires and power loss... the "dimming of the lights" and "boost affected" could be all paranoia but i would have the alternator checked...

I have a 2005 subaru and i have already killed two coil packs that have experienced these symptoms.. i have also seen many other customer vehicles from 02-05 that have experience these problems, so I personally would not rule out the possibility of a dying coil pack until the proper diagnostics are performed and there is data show that they are in fact bad or good...
