No there aren't.

#1, the JDMs you linked are worth nowhere near that.
#2, the ones he's selling run $2,700 new, not $1,300.

Black chrome HIDs were a factory option for the MY01 STI only and are worth slightly more than the standard black HIDs and significantly more than halogen JDMs.

 

What a crock of ****. You think because one website has some headlights for some stupidly outrageous price that that is what they are worth? And yet you go to any Subaru forum and you can buy a mint set for $750-$1300???

And i don't care how long you have been "modding cars" for, it does not take a genius to realize that is a retarded price.

I suppose Subaru of Japan will heavily discount parts for a car simply because its no longer the current model and their resale value is no longer what the MSRP was. Go to any website you please that sells them and you will find they all list them for $2,700 to 3,000. The HIDs go for $800-1,100 used depending on various factors.

 

I've owned both sets and have owned 5 different set of these. I've owned my car since 2001 and have bought new... where is your proof? I have a friend with darker black chrome headlights and mine are from 2001 with the lighter versions. No they weren't refinished. No they weren't painted that way. I do know what I'm talking about. stop quoting websites. I have been in this game for more than 10 years and have personally gotten my parts directly from japan.
