yo, jon is this "JDM STI Shifter Trim (Used/Real NOT replica) Came off of a recked JDM STI - $75" just the trim alone or the plastic panel + shifter boot thats in the pic? if its just the trim alon how does it go on? bolts?
most importantly if its the whole thing will it fit my 04'?

come with what you see in the picture.
The boot is on there but not how it supposed to be. If you take your trim off your WRX and look at it there are a couple of plastic posts that the boot goes into with little metal clips.
As long as your bezel for the shift area looks like that then yes it will fit your car

well, das cool then...i'll be removing/replacing my shifter with a short shifter later this week. so i'll let you know what it looks like...and what do you mean the boot is not on right? you mean how its on right now is wrong? did you run it this way? please explain.. thanks jon

this is an EXTRA that I aquired while trying to do my trans upgrade. No I don't run it that way because I still have an automatic.
What I mean is that they might have been rushing when putting back on the boot that they poked holes in bottom portion of the boot to secure it with the screws since if you try to take off the retaining clips you might break the thin plastic pieces holding on the shift boot!
I'll post pictures of that when I can.
LMK if you want it. besides that "flaw" if you can say that... it's pretty much perfect for being used
