I really need help with this....

I have a destroyed '00 Miata that I'd like to recover at least some money from. The frame in front is bent and twisted, so it's no good as a regular car, but it still runs and is good for parts.... If nobody does want it, where/how would I get rid of it? It's depressing to see everyday and I just want to see it gone... but I really don't want to eat the total cost of the loss, especially since I wasn't the one who crashed it.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
-Alexis

Only way I think you could do it is part it out. Put the licences plate in storage. IE meaning you have to take the car off public roads. Either that you fix the damage and just keep the car..... Either way its a loss

nobody in miata club of Hawaii wanted it? If you haven't yet you should post it up on there. A lot of the members are auto Xs so they may want those extra parts.

For exposure you could put it up on M-Spec (Mazda performance club of Hawaii) but I think that club is mostly Pro 5s, Mazdaspeeds & Rx 8s.

Think miata parts move pretty quickly on forums hawaii mazda as well....

GL! I love those bada$$ lil cars

Already done. It's been de-registered since middle of last year. It isn't repairable. not cheaply, anyway. I know it's going to be a loss. I just wanted to reduce the amount of loss.

Yeah, I was part of MCOH and nobody was interested in the parts. They're all just used stock parts, nothing special. I also don't want to part it out because that doesn't insure that ALL of the car will be gotten rid of. Like I said, if nothing else, I just want to know how to get rid of it.

If you look in the Buy&Sell or PennySaver or whatever those half-size papers are called, there are lots of advertisers that will haul away old cars for free or almost-free. I called one of them to take away one of our old cars from our garage. I'm pretty sure it was less than 50 bucks. I thought it was a pretty good deal considering the car had no front tires or suspension.

Was sad to see the car go, though...kinda heartbreaking. GL.

No I didn't. The big problem w/going online is that I'm gone a lot for my job. So I am not able to reply in a timely manner. I was trying I-club kind of as a last ditch effort. I'm probably just going to have it hauled away.

I appreciate everybody's comments. I was a little worried that a thread about a destroyed miata would just get ignored. Thanks.
