Hey everyone,

I recently experienced a very bad day about a month ago...my car's radiator decided to give out in the middle of traffic during rush hour...talk about an expensive day...

So luckily for me the guys at R&D automotive came to the rescue...they installed a brand new OEM radiator along with a new thermostat...I will be going with a aluminum radiator soon and would like to pass along this deal to someone with over 30K miles on their car...

Like I said, it is a month old, pretty much new, and it will save you a lot of headaches and pain...\\because your old radiator will go out...

how many miles did it take for it to die? Have 97,000 miles on mine!

 

Mine died at 85K miles...but my friends died at less than 30K miles...it's a gamble...97K is pushing it for our cars.

You know, like I said in my original post...I've never had a radiator go out on me ever prior to my 04sti...this is the first...

Since experiencing this issue and posting it up, many people have commented about this same issue and how theirs failed as well...

 

It took mine 65k...But Brent is right. Big time toss up on these. I just don't think they're manufactured well.

Hi, I'm the 30k mile guy. And yup, you guessed it, warranty denied because of my mods. The funny thing is that they never even asked what mods I had or even looked to see on their own. All they said was "Nope, can't warranty it since the car was modified." Nice.

 

time to change your radiator...don't wait...like I did.
